Topic: Window XP Security Center
Windows comes standard with its own security manager. This manager lets you know if your firewall is on, if you have anti-virus software installed, etc. It lets you turn them on and off and otherwise manage them. But there is a fake piece of security management, called XP Security Center that will try to fool you and take your money.
I could go on and on about how dangerous this software can be, what it can do to your computer and how it can take your money. But if you keep in mind that Microsoft will never try and charge you for any security center "upgrade", you'll keep yourself and your computer out of a heap of trouble!
If there is an upgrade for your legitimate Windows XP Security Center, it will come in the form of a free Microsoft update. If you've been prompted to buy "XP Security Center", go and run some legitimate anti-virus software immediately.
